Storyboard Blog

For our commercial, Chris and I designed a storyboards to set up our ideas. In the first scene you hear the footsteps of feet on grass. Then you can feet (which are sporting Nike's) walking on the grass, this walk progresses to a jog and then to a steady run. In the second scene you see these feet running and then you see them about to kick a soccer ball. As soon as the foot connects with the ball the screen cuts out and you see a black screen. Then on the black screen you see the word evolve typed onto it, followed by the definition. In the third scene the black screen disappears and is replaced by someone hitting a baseball and sprinting, and just like in the last scene, the image cuts out and is once again replaced by a blank black screen. Except this time the typed word and definition are ignite. On scene number four, it starts with someone about to run a race. This time when the pistol sounds and people start to sprint it cuts to the black screen and shows the word and the d

Christopher Hayman and Sarah Samuels My partner and I are going to be doing a commercial advertising Nike. This commercial is one that we hope to be filled with passion and creativity. To film the commercial, we will mostly likely go outside on campus to record. We may potentially borrow equipment from around the school to add to it. To start the process, we will create a storyboard of the commercial to visualize and script it. Next, we will look it over and perfect it, and get ready to film. Once we arrive in Media Studies for 8th period, we will leave when allowed to find a good filming location. We will most likely find a part of the campus with stairs, to film ourselves exercising or running with the shoes. We will do several takes, and afterwards, we will look them over to find the best one. When we are finished recording, we will digitally add in sound effects, like music and voiceovers. We will also add in the visuals, like the Nike logo and the slogan, which will be at the en

Christopher Hayman and Sarah Samuels For this commercial, my partner and I are going to advertise the popular shoe brand Nike. Nike offers many different types of products, such as shoes, jerseys, bags, socks, and many more accessories and equipment. However, they are most commonly known for their shoes. One example of a product branded by Nike is the ZoomX Invincible Run. These shoes include soft, responsive foam, and a Flyknit upper that allows your feet extra security and breathability. They are only one of Nike's most tested shoes. These qualities make it an excellent choice for shoes that you can run and exercise with. Another product of theirs is the Air VaporMax 2021. These powerful shoes are complete with extra-stretchy Flyknit fabric, a recycled TPU heel clip, and a switched-on Swoosh that make it a pleasurable jog. Not only that, but they are made from at least 40% recycled materials. The Nike Revolution 5 is another one of Nike's most impressive products. These sho

Group Blog

In this blog, I am going to be discussing my group for the upcoming Media Studies commercial project. At the moment, I have not decided who I will be working with, as I feel I still need another day to find someone. I am sure, though, that I would like to work with a group on this project. Normally, I am an independent person and prefer to work alone. Working alone can make a task like this easier in some ways. However, I find that working all by myself on this commercial will be highly challenging. I would not be able to record it all by myself, and it would be very difficult to try and find another person to be an actor for my video. It would make more sense and be simpler to have a group of multiple people who can help put this project together. It would also be much less strenuous to find someone to be a recorder, actor, and editor. I would prefer around 3 or 4 people to complete this commercial with. I also hope to find good partners to work with. I want to work with someone who

Intro Blog

My name is Christopher Hayman, and this is a blog about who I am and what I like. I am interested in many things, and have lots of hobbies. One of my biggest interests in writing. I love writing things to express my feelings, like poems, short stories, and even novels. The idea of creating a complex imaginary realm through words is fascinating! I also really enjoy reading, as it gives me inspiration for my writing. Another hobby of mine is swimming. I am currently on the swim team at my school, and I absolutely love it. It makes me happy to be a part of a team and to make friends that can support me. I also enjoy swimming because it helps me channel my competitive side. In addition, I am also very interested in artsy things, such as movies and music. I really enjoy music because it can be a great way to process my emotions, but it can also just be fun to sing along to a good song. Movies also amaze me, because I love how actors and directors come together to compile these creative fi
