Scene 2

- Main character is in his room, typing on a computer

- M.C (Voiceover): "Dear diary, I know no one will hear this, but I'm going to say it anyway. As if being a high schooler wasn't difficult enough, today's the day of tryouts for the dance team, and my parents haven't stopped talking about it. To be honest, I know I'll make the team, but I can't help but feel a sense of dread about it. It means I'm going back to regular practices and grueling workouts, instead of just coming home at the end of the day. I've been dancing since freshman year, so I'm kind of used to it by now, but it's not something I'm crazy about. I guess I've just got to pull myself up and-"

- The door opens and the M.C.'s mom walks in.

- Mom: "(unnamed), what are you doing? You're going to be late for school!"

- M.C checks the time.

Scene 6

- M.C: (sighs faintly) "I'm just stressed about this whole dance thing. It's so draining."

- Mom: "Okay, well, that doesn't explain why you've been waking up early every morning and writing on your computer."

- M.C: "That's because writing actually gives me energy. I wouldn't make it through school right now without it."

- Mom: "Oh, come on, (unnamed's nickname)! Dancing is your thing! You have to do this. You're gonna go to tryouts and you're gonna kill it!."

- Diegetic sound: The car beeps as it is unlocked.

- M.C. and his mom both open their car doors and mom gets in, but M.C. stands outside and looks into their house.

- Mom: "(unnamed)? You okay?"

- M.C: "Uh...yeah, yeah."

- Lighting: bright sunshine with some shade.
