Filming Time!

 Last Saturday, March 5, I began filming my opening sequence. I decided to film a small portion of the sequence only. This is because I wanted to split the filming process into multiple days. I first asked my mom if she would be able to take part in the filming. Thankfully, she was able to. We went outside to the front yard to film the establishing shot. This shot did not require either of us to show ourselves. I held the camera and pointed it forward for a few seconds. This is where I will edit in the opening credits and the title of the film. Then, I slowly panned over to my house to set up the next shot. Then, I changed into pajama-like clothes to film the next scene. I turned on my computer and opened a Word document to type on. As I was typing, my mom began recording. She slowly walked down the hallway into my room while filming. I continued typing Henry's diary entry, not paying attention to the camera. Genre Research: Blended

  The final movie in the comedy genre I am researching is Blended. This movie has many common camera shots and movements in comedy films, such as a two-shot that shows two characters conversing, and wide shots that may show a comedic situation to the viewer. Costumes in this movie range from casual outfits to intricate African clothing worn by people at the hotel. The lighting, like most comedy movies, is always very bright. The acting is mostly silly and not serious, typical for comedy movies. Makeup is casual and includes lipstick and mascara. Props include suitcases, tour cars, and parachutes. The setting is mostly a luxurious resort in Africa. The sound in this movie includes upbeat music as part of the score, as well as diegetic sounds and music like singing by the hotel workers.
